Peace is not a sole responsibility
and beneficiary of a person. It is a communitarian task of every individual
living in a community. It is very important that the concept of promotion and
protection o human rights is being presented to look at first the persons
involved on this undertaking. This will be the starting point of attaining
peace, to the human person himself. The human rights are manifestations of our
existence as human beings and make us to be truly human. Protecting this human
rights which somehow having such a natural inclination of every individual to
know such can greatly contribute in making and cultivating peace in each of us.
Protection of life, of property, of liberty will lead to care, to compassion,
to love and to spiritual growth of every individual in the society. Having the
respect will reign and possibly the love will exist in every individual
treating each other as brothers and sisters. Greediness and lust of material
things will be depleted. Selfishness will be disappeared. Sharing will prevail.
Thus, peace will reign. This is possible if we ourselves will go hand in hand
in working forward toward that goal of ours. Consequently, it will help us to
become better person not just for ourselves but also for others, for nature and
for God as well.
This idealism that makes my reflection
like an unreachable dream is not just a speculation. With vehement spirit and
glorious confidence, I do believe that it is possible - thinking of every
right, of every individual, respecting them, protecting them from harm. This simple
gesture I have will surely contribute a lot in the attainment of peace. It is a
challenge to all of us, a challenge to do or task for our dreams of peaceful
world. Dare to make a difference. Stand up and let our voice be heard, “Let
there be peace!” This is possible. Just
